Sabudana Kheer
Sabudana is good for healthy blood flow and is rich in vitamin B6 and folate.This recipe is about a healthy and tasty sweet dish known as kheer.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Sago (Sabudana)
- 2 cups Milk
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- few strands Saffron
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 12 nos Cashew nuts
- 12 nos Raisins
- Water
Instructions
- Take half cup of Sago (Sabudana) in a vessel
- Wash and soak in water for 1 hour
- Strain the sago
- Heat water in a vessel and add the sago
- Stir continuously and let the Sago cook well
- Add milk and sugar and mix well until the sugar is dissolved
- Add few strands of saffron and cardamom powder and stir well
- In another vessel, heat ghee and add cashews & raisins and fry till they are golden yellow
- Add the cashews & raisins along with the ghee to the Sago
- Bring to boil and then turn off the stove
- Sago Kheer is now ready !
Step by step method
- Take half cup of Sago (Sabudana) in a vessel

- Add the cashews & raisins along with the ghee to the Sago
- Allow it to boil
- Sago Kheer is now ready ! Serve hot or cold
