Pineapple Kesari
Ingredients
- 6 tbsp Ghee
- 12 nos Cashews split
- 2 tbsp Raisins
- 1 cup Rava / Semolina
- 1/4 cup Pineapple chopped
- 2.5 cups Water
Instructions
- Heat a tablespoon of ghee in a vessel
- Add the Cashews and raisins
- Roast until they turn golden brown and keep aside
- Heat one tablespoon of ghee
- Add Rava / Semolina and roast for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame
- Keep aside the roasted Rava / Semolina
- Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee and add the chopped pineapple and cook the pineapple in ghee for 2-3 minutes
- Add 2.5 cups of water and add turmeric powder; mix well and bring it to a boil
- Keep the flame low and add the roasted Rava
- Stir continuously until the Rava cooks well
- Add 1 cup of sugar (sweetness depends on the ripeness of pineapple, so adjust sugar accordingly) and mix well
- Add another 2 tablespoons of ghee for the flavor
- Now add the roasted Cashews and raisins and mix well
- Optionally add half a teaspoon of pineapple essence
- Mix well and cook until required consistency
Step by step method
