Pineapple Kesari

A delectable simple sweet dish

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp Ghee
  • 12 nos Cashews split
  • 2 tbsp Raisins
  • 1 cup Rava / Semolina
  • 1/4 cup Pineapple chopped
  • 2.5 cups Water

Instructions

  • Heat a tablespoon of ghee in a vessel
  • Add the Cashews and raisins
  • Roast until they turn golden brown and keep aside
  • Heat one tablespoon of ghee
  • Add Rava / Semolina and roast for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame
  • Keep aside the roasted Rava / Semolina
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee and add the chopped pineapple and cook the pineapple in ghee for 2-3 minutes
  • Add 2.5 cups of water and add turmeric powder; mix well and bring it to a boil
  • Keep the flame low and add the roasted Rava
  • Stir continuously until the Rava cooks well
  • Add 1 cup of sugar (sweetness depends on the ripeness of pineapple, so adjust sugar accordingly) and mix well
  • Add another 2 tablespoons of ghee for the flavor
  • Now add the roasted Cashews and raisins and mix well
  • Optionally add half a teaspoon of pineapple essence
  • Mix well and cook until required consistency

Step by step method

Heat a tablespoon of ghee in a vessel


Add the Cashews and raisins

Roast until they turn golden brown and keep aside

Heat one tablespoon of ghee

Add Rava / Semolina and roast for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame


Keep aside the roasted Rava / Semolina


Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee and add the chopped pineapple and cook the pineapple in ghee for 2-3 minutes


Add 2.5 cups of water and add turmeric powder; mix well and bring it to a boil

Stir continuously until the Rava cooks well
