Drumstick Crab Masala
This is a tasty seafood recipe that can be used as a side dish for rice, dosa or idly.
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp Whole black pepper
- 2 nos Onions Chopped
- 3 nos Green chillies Sliced
- 3 nos Tomatoes Chopped
- 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Red chilly powder
- 2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Salt (add as per taste)
- 2 nos Drumsticks cut to about 6cm pieces
- 1 kg Crab cleaned
Instructions
- Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan and add fennel seeds, cumin seeds and whole black pepper.
- Add the chopped onions and saute for few minutes.
- Add the sliced green chilies and ginger garlic paste and mix well.
- Add chopped tomatoes, mix and let it cook for 5 minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder & salt and mix well to make the masala.
- Add the cut drumsticks and turn the masala.
- Add the cleaned crab and mix well.
- Add water and cook with a closed lid for 10 minutes.
- Open the lid and cook for another 5 minutes while turning regularly till required consistency.
- Drumstick Crab Masala is ready – serve fresh and relish the great taste !
