Carrot Halwa
Simple, easy recipe for the sweet tooth
Ingredients
- 8 nos Carrots
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 3 cups Milk
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- Nuts handful
- Raisins handful
Instructions
- Cut the carrots into small pieces and grind them coarsely
- Heat a pan and add the carrots
- Add sugar and milk
- Cook the carrots on medium heat
- Add cardamom powder
- Add cardamom powder
- Keep stirring continuously to avoid lumps or getting over cooked
- Add ghee for flavour and aroma
- Add handful of nuts and raisins
- Keep stirring until the halwa thickens
- Remove from the stove at desired consistency
