Plain Butter Rice

This is a very easy and quick recipe for kids.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Basmati rice
  • 2 nos Onions (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 150 grams Butter (unsalted)
  • 3 nos Green Chillies (sliced)
  • 1 1/2 cups Coconut milk
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions

  • Soak the Basmati rice in a vessel
  • Slice the onions and green chillies
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker base and add unsalted butter
  • When the butter melts, add onions and green chillies and saute
  • Add water and coconut milk and mix well
  • Add the soaked basmati rice and mix slowly (to avoid the rice breaking)
  • Close the cooker lid and pressure cook on low flame for 10 minutes
  • Open the cooker after the pressure releases and transfer to serving bowl

Step by step method
