Plain Butter Rice
This is a very easy and quick recipe for kids.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Basmati rice
- 2 nos Onions (sliced)
- 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 150 grams Butter (unsalted)
- 3 nos Green Chillies (sliced)
- 1 1/2 cups Coconut milk
- 2 cups Water
Instructions
- Soak the Basmati rice in a vessel
- Slice the onions and green chillies
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker base and add unsalted butter
- When the butter melts, add onions and green chillies and saute
- Add water and coconut milk and mix well
- Add the soaked basmati rice and mix slowly (to avoid the rice breaking)
- Close the cooker lid and pressure cook on low flame for 10 minutes
- Open the cooker after the pressure releases and transfer to serving bowl
