Mutton Chukka
Ingredients
- 500 grams Mutton
- 1 nos Tomato Chopped
- 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 cup Water
- 3 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 2 pcs Cinnamon
- 2 nos Bay leaves
- 1 tsp Fennel seeds
- 5 nos Cloves
- 4 nos Cardamom
- 1 tbsp Garlic Chopped
- Curry leaves few
- 1 cup Shallots Sliced
- 2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Pepper powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala powder
- 2 nos Green chillies Sliced
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- Coriander leaves few
Instructions
- Add mutton, ginger garlic paste, salt to taste and turmeric powder in a pressure cooker and cook on medium flame.
- The mutton releases a little water. Add quarter cup water.
- Pressure cook for 6 whistles. Open after the pressure releases.
- Heat oil in a thick bottomed vessel and add the cinnamon, bay leaves, fennel seeds, cloves, cardamom, Chopped garlic, chopped curry leaves and sliced shallots.
- Saute to golden brown color.
- Add the pressure cooked mutton with gravy.
- Add coriander powder, chilly powder, pepper powder, and garam masala.
- Mix well and cook on medium flame.
- Add the sliced green chillies.
- Add cumin powder, mix well and cook until the mutton gets roasted.
- Add a few chopped coriander leaves.
- Mutton Chukka is ready – Serve with love and share the goodness.
