Stir fry spinach
Stir fry spinach – simple, easy to cook vegetarian recipe
Equipment
- Clay pot
Ingredients
- 2 bunches Spinach chopped
- 2 tbsp Cooking oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Urad dal
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 3 nos Dry red chillies
- 1 no Onion chopped
- 2 tbsp Garlic chopped
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- Water
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 cup Grated coconut
Instructions
- Clean the spinach and chop it
- Heat the cooking oil in a clay pan
- Add mustard seeds, wait till they splutter, add urad dal, cumin seeds, dry red chillies and mix
- Add chopped onions and garlic
- Add the chopped spinach and turmeric powder and mix well
- Sprinkle a few drops of water to help the leaves to cook
- Add salt to taste, mix well and stir fry
- Add grated coconut and mix well
- The stir fry spinach is ready
Step by step method
