Aloo Paratta
Equipment
- Tawa (pan)
- Rolling board and pin
Ingredients
- 10 grams Butter unsalted
To prepare dough for Paratta:
- 2 cups Wheat flour
- Salt to taste
- Water as required
To prepare Aloo filling
- 3 nos Potatoes boiled
- 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp Aam Chur powder Mango powder
- 1 tsp Chilli powder
- few Coriander leaves chopped
- 1/2 tsp Ginger finely chopped
- Salt to taste
Instructions
To prepare dough for Paratta:
- Add the wheat flour in a large vessel and add salt to taste
- Add water little by little and knead to make soft dough
- Once the dough is of good consistency, keep it closed for half hour
To prepare Aloo filling:
- Take the boiled potatoes in a vessel and mash them thoroughly
- Add cumin seeds, aam chur powder, chilli powder, chopped coriander leaves, finely chopped ginger and salt to taste
- Mix well and set aside the Aloo filling
To prepare the paratta:
- Take a small portion of dough
- Dust the rolling board with flour
- Flatten the dough by hand
- Place on the rolling board and moderately flatten with rolling pin to prepare the Paratta base
- Take a little Aloo filling and place in the center of the Paratta base and seal it inside the Paratta
- Roll and flatten the Paratta with the Aloo filling
- Heat a tawa, brush with butter and cook the Paratta on both sides
- Once the paratta changes to golden brown color remove from the tawa

To prepare dough for Paratta

To prepare the paratta:
